Dr Amanda Mulloy
Dr Amanda Mulloy has served Almonte and the surrounding community with veterinary services since 1996 and is thrilled to be continuing to do so at Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital. Dr Amanda spends her free time with her family including her Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ally in the photo and playing soccer. Dr Amanda is well known for her commitment to personalized patient care.
Dr Mark van Campen
Dr Mark van Campen and his family have lived in Mississippi Mills since 1999. Dr Mark has special interests and training in ultrasound and surgery and is looking forward to applying his expertise at Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital with state-of-the-art equipment. Dr Mark is also available for referral ultrasound services.
Dr Stephanie Clarke
Dr Stephanie Clarke is a 2001 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She started her career in mixed animal practice in rural Alberta. She has done humane society work (pediatric spays and neuters, shelter medicine), emergency/on call work, and has been a part of a very busy small animal practice in Edmonton. She and her husband Don moved from Edmonton to settle in Almonte in 2008. They are busy with their three daughters, Carys, Gabrielle and Meredith. They also share their home with Shelby the Jack Russell Terrier and their senior cat Avery. Dr. Stephanie has a keen interest in anesthesia and pain management. Having senior pets herself, she can relate to the challenges faced by pet owners as their pets age. “I am excited to be working with the exceptional teams at both the Renfrew Animal Hospital and Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital. Not only do I respect their level of commitment to animal health but I am thankful to call them friends as well.”
Dr Donald Clarke
Dr Donald Clarke has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2002. Although he has worked with small animals his focus has been on bovine medicine and surgery. Before settling in the Ottawa Valley, Dr Clarke worked in Northern Alberta and Central Ontario. He is happy to offer large animal services from Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital.
Dr Evangeline Wiens
Dr Evangeline Wiens has been in mixed animal practice for over 20 years. Although she has worked with most domestic species, her first love is horses. Dr Wiens enjoys helping horse owners maximize the health of their animals through preventative medicine. She likes to keep up to date with the latest issues that concern the health of horses and educating clients with that information. When she is not working or looking after her family, her favourite thing to do is to go for a ride herself!
Dr Emily Jansen
Dr Emily Jansen is happy to call the Ottawa Valley home again. She grew up on a small dairy farm in Pembroke Ontario, thereby fueling her interest to become a mixed animal veterinarian. Since graduating from Ontario Veterinary College, Dr Emily has worked all over Canada, from New Brunswick to Northern Ontario to Inuvik, NWT. Her special interests include bovine reproduction and ultrasonography, also small animal surgery and dentistry. In her free time, Dr Emily enjoys spending her time with family.
Dr Daren Auger
Dr. Daren Auger graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994. He was born and raised in Ottawa and since graduating has practiced Veterinary Medicine in and around the greater Ottawa area. Dr Auger moved to Carleton Place in 2017 and fell in love with the town and the community. Dr Auger is excited to now be able to offer his knowledge and expertise to his home town of Carleton Place & Almonte. Dr. Auger became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through IVAS in 2015. His other area of special interest includes non-avian exotic animal medicine and surgery. He looks forward to meeting you and your pets and helping to solidify the Human-Animal bond you have through his knowledge and compassion. In his personal time, Daren likes to spend time with his partner as well as owning and breeding Champion Standard Poodles with his kennel White Dove Poodles.
Dr Betty Szyngiel
Dr. Betty Szyngiel is originally from Pierrefonds, Quebec but has called Carleton Place home since 2000. She spent her first 16 years working in emergency medicine and is excited to bring those skills to our region. She has been a valued part of the MMAH team since 2018.
Dr Emma Dans
Dr. Emma Dans graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018. Dr. Dans first started working in rural Southern Ontario, on small animals and horses. She moved back to her home town of Ottawa in 2019, and was so excited to join Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital in 2021. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, ultrasonography and pain control. She currently lives with her husband Michael, her two dogs - Kali and Sully, her cat Charlie and two guinea pigs. Her interests outside of work include baking, horse back riding, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Emma Dans looks forward to providing care to the animals of the Almonte area.
